卒業生の皆さんおめでとうございます。そして、どうぞお掛けになってください。失礼しました。

All the students who are graduating from the university, congratulations. Please sit down. Excuse me.

オンラインでご覧のご両親、ご家族の皆様また関係者の皆様、本日はおめでとうございます。

Parents and families who are watching this ceremony online, and all related parties, congratulations to you all today.

今日まで色々なことがあったと思います。幼稚園や保育園への送り迎え、お弁当を作ったり、叱ったり、褒めたり、ぶつかったり大変な日々もあったでしょう。

I believe that up till today you have been doing various chores for the graduating students. Taking t hem to and from kindergarten and nursery school, making their lunches, praising them at times and scolding them at other times… You may have had difficult times battling with them.

でもそうした皆さんの努力が報われて、今日の晴れの卒業式、皆さんのお子さんたちは立派に社会人として巣立っていきます。本当におめでとうございます。

All your efforts are rewarded today, on the day of their graduation ceremony. Your children are leaving the campus to serve our society as working members. Once again, I’d like to express my hearty congratulations.
